The goal of the project is to be a beacon for buildings for energy efficiency improvement work in Turkey; this is not through the use of innovative technologies, which are not particularly widespread, but with the potential for repetition. 735 Selected type of school is the most common types of projects in Turkey and the criteria selected for this project, is an example for future building improvement works. The detailed energy efficiency measures can be summarized under three main headings: building shell, mechanical, electrical. In addition, concept design includes proposed earthquake safety improvements in the building and improvements in internal and external usage scenarios of the building. In addition to building improvement works, the project has high performance details, including interior and exterior design recommendations. Color and material diversification, facade movements, use of natural illumination with joinery changes and changes in function for indoor use are the main architectural design titles. With the garden arrangement and landscape suggestions, accessibility and garden usage have been re-considered and a design that will be exemplary has been put forward.
